Having flown out of Dubai (dbx) on numerous occasions I was contemplating whether or not to bother going to the Virgin upper class lounge. In previous years, this shared lounge has been a drab & dreary way to end the last few hours of a holiday before flying home.
However, I am so glad that I chose to make my way to lounge. I was pleasantly surprised when I found the lounge had moved location and is now situated within the premium section of the Marhaba lounge.
On arrival to the lounge I was greeted warmly and escorted by a Virgin Atlantic representative through the vast and impressive Marhaba lounge into the more intimate premium section.
The smaller premium section had its own buffet selection to help yourselves or you could use the larger buffet in the main lounge if you wished. However, the selection at breakfast time was perfectly ample and consisted of all the usual hot cooked breakfast items as well as fruit, pancakes, pastries, and a selection of savoury wraps, salads and sandwiches
I sat down on the plush red leather sofa, with matching red roses on the coffee table whilst I left my iPhone charging at one of the free charging stations within the lounge.
The waiters were very attentive and regularly checked if I needed anything else.
My whole experience was great and I am very pleased with the new lounge. I will no longer be considering whether to use it or not. I will be heading straight there after security!
