The last supper tickets get booked up way in advance, but you can get them a day before if you are prepared to pay 50 Euros for a ticket.

Beware of the scam artists in the tourist areas. Around the Duomo and the castle areas be aware of anyone offering to give you anything for free. Once you have taken it they’ll demand a substantial tip. This includes people who are dressed up for photographs.
Get a map of the city from your hotel when you arrive. You will be thankful for it later when you have wandered through the streets looking into shop windows and are no longer sure of your location.
There are a couple of airports. Check you know which one you are flying to and from to avoid any costly mistakes. Malpensa is the largest one for international flights, but there is also a smaller one called Linate which is closer to the city.
